The term “eye for an eye” has dark historical roots, indicating the transaction of injury for crime. It could be debated that society as we knew it had become an entanglement of transactions, an ‘I give you this and you give me that’ attitude infiltrating our daily routines and diluting our sense of what is important in our lives.

Can we turn this on its head then, and say ‘Aye’ to meaningful opportunities that allow us to re-connect to what really matters to us?

An Aye for an Aye is a pop up outdoor exhibition project that asks participating artists to ponder their isolation experience and question their feeling of connectedness in these times of widespread 'isolation'. I will send you a mark maker tool made from found materials, and ask that you create your piece with the tool in some way, however abstractly that may be. Your creation will be posted back to Jura to be exhibited back in the landscape that the mark maker tool materials derived from.

All artists, makers and creatives welcome to register an interest in participating.
