The Argyll Collection on Art UK

In 2024, CHARTS partnered with Art UK to begin uploading the full collection, enriched by digital stories and curations to reach a national audience.

Art UK is an arts education charity which acts as a digital home for public art collections across the UK. All of the Argyll Collection’s oil paintings and sculptures are available to view online, and work to upload the rest of the collection is currently being undertaken.

Art UK's curations tool is a free resource that enables anyone to create an online exhibition. Why not create your own Argyll Collection online exhibition? We’d love to see what you curate.

Throughout 2024, CHARTS delivered Art UK's 'The Superpower of Looking' visual literacy sessions alongside teacher training with Argyll and Bute Council to the following schools: Kilmodan Primary, Glenbarr Primary, Dalintober Primary, Gigha Primary, Clachan Primary, Rhunahaorine Primary, Achahoish Primary, and Tighnabruaich Primary.

If you’re a teacher, you can find learning resources for Louis Mbughuni’s The Fishermen, Sam Ntiro’s Chopping Wood, and Henry Tayali’'s In the Pub
