Is e a th’ ann an Duais Ealain na Gàidhealtachd taisbeanadh a’ nochdadh obair-ealain bho bhuidhnean-ealain air feadh na Gàidhealtachd agus nan Eilean, ga chumail an cois a’ Mhòid Rìoghail Nàiseanta. Mar phàirt den fharpais, tha an taisbeanadh a’ comharrachadh cultar na Gàidhlig, a’ gabhail àite san aon seachdain agus san aon àite ris a’ Mhòd. Tha an taisbeanadh fa leth seo ag àrachadh ceangail beothail eadar na h-ealainean agus dìleab na Gàidhlig, a’ toirt cothrom do luchd-ealain eadar stèidhichte agus a’ tòiseachadh anns an roinn.
Tha Gàidhlig na cànan a tha ceangailte gu dlùth ri àite agus dualchas, a tha ri fhaicinn ann am mòran de na h-ealainean lèirsinneach a thathar a’ cruthachadh anns a’ Ghàidhealtachd agus anns na h-Eileanan.” – Alex Ogilvie, Duais Ealain na Gàidhealtachd

The Highland Art Prize is an annual exhibition showcasing artwork from art organisations across the Highlands and Islands, held alongside the prestigious Royal National Mòd. As part of the competition, the exhibition celebrates Gaelic culture, taking place during the same week and in the same location as the Mòd. This unique event fosters a vibrant connection between the arts and Gaelic heritage, offering a platform for both established and emerging artists in the region.
Gaelic is a language that is intrinsically linked to place and culture, which is reflected in much of the visual arts produced in the Highlands and Islands.” - Ogilvie, Highland Art Prize
