Remembering Together | Argyll and Bute

Over the course of September and October 2022, Lateral North delivered a series of workshops throughout Argyll and Bute as part of the Scotland-wide project Remembering Together.

Remembering Together, in conjunction with each local authority, has commissioned an artist or designer to develop a Covid Memorial. In the case of Argyll and Bute, the project's first stage, which is a community consultation, is being led by Lateral North. So far, Lateral North has hosted workshops around Argyll and Bute to discover what the community would like to see happen.

List of Workshops in 2022; The Egg Shed (Ardrishaig), SKDT Hall (Campbeltown), Ramsay Hall (Port Ellen), Islay Gaelic Centre (Bowmore), Dunoon Burgh Hall (Dunoon), Here We Are (Cairndow), Hermitage Park (Helensburgh), Rockfield Centre (Oban).

Upcoming Workshop 9 February

In the next stage of Remembering Together, a tender will be created that reflects the ideas gathered by Lateral North. This will be open to creatives in Argyll and Bute to deliver the creation of a community Covid memorial. 

Remembering Together is funded by the Scottish Government and Greenspace Scotland alongside local partners Argyll and Bute Council and CHARTS.
