XpoNorth Digital and Short Circuit (who produce the Glasgow Film Festival) are collaborating on a Highland heritage and film sector mixer, focusing on something which unites both industries – stories. XpoNorth are inviting curators/volunteers/storytellers from across the Highlands and Islands heritage sector to come along and tell their best, most cinematic, 5-minute stories, at an ‘open mic’ style event in Inverness.
The aim of the event is to encourage both sectors to think of ways they can collaborate and to provide a space for inspiration and networking.
The event will take place at WASPS Creative Academy, Inverness, on 15th February, evening timings TBC, and each of the 5-minute storytellers will be paid £100 to cover their travel and participation.
We can take bookings up until the day before (14th Feb). If any museums/heritage orgs would like to come along and tell a story could they let me know by end of next week please (9th Feb).
