Performance artist Kate Clayton is offering six week-long, subsidised residencies (April–September) at her home in Kilchattan Bay.
Ideal for artists seeking time for reflection, research, and inspiration through walking, swimming, and exploring the island’s unique landscape.
What’s included:
Sole use of studio with wood-burning stove (daylight hours, no electricity)
Double bedroom plus shared kitchen, bathroom, and living space with WiFi
Stunning views over the bay
Location:
Kilchattan Bay sits at the southern tip of Bute, surrounded by woods, standing stones, and ruins. Accessible via train and ferry from Glasgow (approx. 1h 30m).
Cost: £300 per week (subsidised). £100 deposit secures your place.
