Illuminations Film/Video Competition

As part of our Illuminations and the 1500th anniversary celebrations surrounding St Colmcille/ Columba, we are running a film competition. We welcome video/films from Gaelic speakers or learners, community groups or individuals between 30 seconds and 5 minutes in length. We are seeking unique works that capture CHARTS Illuminations events and encourage the inclusion of any Colmcille sites close to you, a Gaelic song, poem or music linked to Colmcille or Argyll Gaelic. 

There are two prizes of £100 and the top videos will be shared online at the Argyll Gaelic Gathering on 12 March 2022. 

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 10 December, with the winners being announced on 15 December 2021. 

To enter you can read more details in the documents below, and you’ll need to upload your clip to the Argyll Gaelic Forum Facebook page and complete and return an entry form before 5pm on Friday 10 December.  If you need the form in a different format please contact us.
