COASTAL CULTURES – ISLANDS

40 DAY ISLAND RESIDENCY PROJECTS

3 X Project Opportunities Available

June 2023 - December/Jan 2024

Fee: Industry Rates Applicable

Independent artists or small collectives are invited to submit proposals for new work. CHARTS is offering three residency-based project opportunities designed to support socially engaged practice on Argyll’s islands. We welcome proposals from artists with five years or more experience or from less experienced artists if included within any arts collective submission.

This opportunity has grown from recommendations from the CREATE:Networks Outcome Report to create the widest possible diversity of opportunities for artists working on islands and builds from Ràmh:

  • There is no art form preference for submissions.
  • Artists are invited to submit proposals based on their experience and knowledge of Argyll’s islands/communities and what they would understand to create positive impact now.
  • As a network organisation, CHARTS is always very interested in the legacy potential of projects, including through the dissemination of project outcomes.

For further details and information about how to apply, please see the opportunity description.
