Call out to display REMEMBERING TOGETHER art work
Posted by CHARTS
Are you looking for interactive outdoor artwork to display?
Three large-scale outdoor artworks will be available to site/display from November 2024 onward. Created on Bute with input from the local community as part of the Scottish Government's Remembering Together programme, in conjunction with Greenspace Scotland, Argyll and Bute Council, and Culture, Heritage & Arts Assembly, Argyll & Isles (CHARTS), the artworks take the form of interactive mirrors and are inspired by the island's heritage as a beloved seaside destination.
Engagement during their installation on Bute, on the promenade in Rothesay, in the community woodland, and at the popular Ettrick Bay was extremely high. The sculpture's mirrored surfaces have subtle undulations that bend light and reflections, making them eye-catching and playful. The largest piece has a mirrored interior, creating an infinity room effect, and can have chalk pens installed with it, allowing visitors to write interior thoughts on the sculpture. The exterior has thought-provoking musings from the community of Bute written onto it.
The works are ideal for sites in outdoor locations with spectacular views or high footfall; anywhere you wish to create pockets of reflection.
