Does phishing make you think of waders and salmon, and talk of spam conjure a delightful retro tinned meat?

We know that for most young people, their online life is an extremely important part of their social life, their identity, their world, but do you wonder how you can even begin to talk about these issues with young people?

Then this is the event for you!

Join us to explore different issues around online safety and ‘cyber awareness’, and how they can impact on young people’s lives.

Build your knowledge and confidence around more secure behaviour online and explore the role of youth workers in supporting young people to be more cyber aware and gain control over their online safety and resilience.

This event for youth work volunteers and paid staff will combine expert speakers with interactive workshops to build knowledge, skills and confidence to raise cyber awareness in youth work settings and develop your digital youth work.

No prior technical knowledge needed.

Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided.

This free training is being made possible by The Scottish Government as part of Cyber Scotland Week 2020.
