The Argyll Collection on Tour: Exhibition and Talk

Explore a selection of artworks from The Argyll Collection, including works by Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) artists.

Join CHARTS for this exhibition and talk, and enjoy a rare opportunity to view artworks from the Collection up close. Learn about the Collection's unique origins, its significance to Argyll and Bute, and how it continues to inspire and engage communities today.

Rosalyn McKenna from CHARTS, curator and manager of the tour, who has managed the review of the Argyll Collection over recent years, will give an introduction to the Collection, exploring its history, development, and current use, and explaining why the selected works were chosen. Rosalyn will be on hand throughout the event to share insights into the artworks, discuss the history of the Collection, and answer your questions.

The talk will start at 2pm and last for around 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A. Following the exhibition, there will be a screening of short artist films presented by Kyles Cinema, Colintraive, organised by the local community. 

The event is suitable for all ages, and light refreshments will be served.

The Argyll Collection on Tour is part of RSA200: Celebrating Together. This is delivered by The Culture, Heritage and Arts Assembly, Argyll and Isles (CHARTS) with support from Royal Scottish Academy, Museums and Galleries Scotland, Creative Scotland, liveArgyll, Campbeltown Community Windfarm Fund, Cruach Mhor Windfarm Trust and Argyll and Bute Council.
