Policy and process as a gateway to a sustainable digital archive

This webinar will focus on the documentation required to maintain a digital archive. Focus in many cases is largely on the technical side of digital preservation but the documentation needed to run a preservation workflow is in many ways more important. You will learn what should be documented and suggestions will be give for how this information should be recorded.

Speaker: Karyn Williamson

Karyn holds a master’s degree in Archives and Records Management from the University of Dundee and a Post Grad Cert in Digital Information Management from University College Dublin. She is a Registered Archivist who has worked in various Archives across Scotland. She is currently a Digital Preservation Analyst with the Digital Preservation Coalition. Karyn is a previous ARA Board member, Current Events coordinator for the Business Archive Council Scotland, BAC Trustee, and Campaign Manager for the Explore Your Archive Campaign. Her research interests are outreach and advocacy and open-source digital preservation.
