Palaeography Pointers, or what on earth does that say?
Posted by The Argyll Papers, Inveraray Castle
This 2-hour workshop is aimed at researchers who are relatively inexperienced at reading seventeenth and eighteenth century manuscript records. The aim is to introduce the researcher to secretary hand and other early-modern letter forms, and the content is based mainly on lists of personal names and place names in Old Parish Registers, kirk session records and other early-modern records.
Places on this workshop are limited. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place.
