OVER/ AT Presents Ailie Ormston: KNOCKvologan Studio
Posted by CHARTS
Doors open: 7:00pm
Concert starts: 7:30pm
Tickets: £15 (cash at the door)
This concert is part of a tour in collaboration with OVER / AT CIC. These events are designed as intimate opportunities to experience unusual music in unusual places – from in front of the old lighthouse tower in Gairloch, to a church hall in Lochalsh, returning to an old haunt at The Glad Café in Glasgow, and here at KNOCKvologan Barn – forging new connections between performers, audiences, and place.
Ailie will present a specially commissioned set of work for this setting. The performance features music for electric guitar and tape(s), exploring the scope of this minimal set-up through small object interventions, additional speakers, spatial play between instrumental voices, and the development of motivic and static melodic lines. The result is music made with, and for, unusual spaces.
