Handbuilding The Argyll Collection
Posted by CHARTS
Learn hand-building techniques to create your own air-dried clay sculpture inspired by Katie Horsman’s Sleck Cow and other ceramics from The Argyll Collection.
This workshop will take place in Dunoon Burgh Hall’s Workshop space on Wednesday, 24 April, from 11.00am to 1.00pm This class is free to attend, and all resources are supplied! If you would like to bring any extras (flowers, leaves, fabrics) to create texture and pattern in your form, feel free.
Finished pieces will be left to dry and painted using acrylic paint. After this, a ‘varnish’ will be applied to make them ‘waterproof,’ and you will be able to take them home. Please note that the finished pieces will not be safe for food/drink use.
Booking is required
Spaces are limited to 8 people
Suitable for 16+
Workshops are part of ‘Awaken, The Argyll Collection’, which is on display and open to the public from 10 April to 28 April, Wednesday to Sunday, from 10.00am to 4.00pm, at Dunoon Burgh Hall.
