From Brick to Building: Mount Stuart’s Architectural Journey
Posted by CHARTS
To mark 30 years since Mount Stuart first opened to the public, the Mount Stuart Trust presents From Brick to Building — an exhibition examining the architectural history of one of Scotland’s most distinctive country houses.
The exhibition traces Mount Stuart’s development from its earliest forms to the 19th-century Neo-Gothic building seen today. It explores the architects, stonemasons, and designers involved, and the vision of the 3rd Marquess of Bute, whose ideas significantly shaped the final structure.
