Frame the View

This is a free, practical workshop led by boat builder Ben Neville, where you will be introduced to traditional joinery techniques. During the workshop, you learn to construct timber frames using mortice and tenon joints and find out more about tool care and natural timber finishes. This workshop will help construct bespoke timber frames to 'frame the views' on West Bay.

• You do not need any prior experience, just a willingness to learn, ask questions and support this project.
• Places are free, but limited and are open to anyone over the age of 18.
• Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear, PPE will be provided.
• Light refreshments will also be available.

The project is delivered in partnership with the Dunoon Area Alliance and Dunoon CARS project. The project aims to involve people living in Dunoon with the regeneration of West Bay by exploring the heritage of beach huts and looking at how the natural and built environment will be impacted by climate change.
