Exhibition: Designed to Delight

A new exhibition has been created and installed in Inveraray Castle for  2023, featuring some of the working buildings and follies in the policies, featuring original archival material.

The policies at Inveraray were redesigned in the 18^th century to provide a fitting landscape for the new Castle built by Archibald, 3rd duke (1682-1761).  This exhibition features early designs, realised and unrealised, and includes the opinions of some of those who visited the estate.

The exhibition is situated within the Castle and access is included in entry.

The Castle is open:

30 March - 30 September 2023, Thursday - Monday 10:00 - 17:00

1 October - 31 October 2023, Thursday - Monday 10:00 - 16:00
