Dawn ‘til Dusk
Posted by CHARTS
Dawn 'til Dusk highlights a selection of works from the Argyll Collection as part of CHARTS project Argyll Aspires, designed to closely engage young people with cultural heritage working with a range of professional partners. Pupils from Rothesay Academy have co-curated this exhibition with the support of the Cultural Co-ordinator for Argyll and Bute Council, Mount Stuart and CHARTS.
The Argyll Collection is a nationally outstanding collection of 173 artworks, established between 1960 and 1990, as a unique learning resource for the young people of Argyll and Bute. Aiming to increase awareness of its educational and contemporary cultural value, this project has empowered pupils attending Rothesay Academy to consider the Collections relevance to them and own the curatorial process.
Dawn ‘til Dusk is made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and kindly hosted by Mount Stuart. The exhibition will be displayed in the new learning studio, part of the surviving Georgian wing of the house.
