COAST

COAST consists of Four exhibitions, each exploring the west COAST of Scotland. These exhibitions will be hosted throughout the summer with the launch event (2 June) and two of the four exhibitions taking place at the Rockfield Centre (Oban). The other two exhibitions will be shown in Comunn Eachdraidh Nis (Ness, Lewis) and the GALE Centre (Gairloch).

COAST exhibitions will explore a small snippet of over 300 stories collected during lockdown about the history, architecture, landscape, seascape and people of the west coast and how they have shaped the world.

This project is led by the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) funded through NatureScot’s Natural and Cultural Heritage Fund, with match funding from CalMac and UHI.
