AITC: Argyll and the Isles Visitor Levy Briefing
Posted by CHARTS
Argyll and Bute Council is developing a draft visitor levy scheme to benefit the area’s visitor economy. The draft scheme will undergo a 12-week formal consultation process, expected towards the end of the year. At this stage, the council invites input to help prepare for the formal consultation period.
Argyll & the Isles Tourism Co-operative (AITC) is hosting several online workshops to help tourism businesses understand and contribute to developing the draft scheme. Core themes, ideas and challenges will be shared with the Local Authority.
It's imperative that businesses and communities have the opportunity to have their say in how the money raised will be invested and what business support will be provided for accommodation providers who will be collecting the levy.
Briefings will be held online:
October 30th, at 10.00am and 6.00pm
