ABMHF: Learning GIS mapping

Join Argyll and Bute Museum and Heritage Forum for their series of four GIS mapping workshops. These workshops will be held online and will be led by Sara McGourty who will share simple practical steps on creating digital maps. 

Workshop dates 

• 14 February, 2.00pm to 3.30pm: Introduction and illustration of what GIS can do
• 21 February, 2.00pm to 3.30pm: Detailed introduction to the basics for those wishing to exploit the potential of GIS and homework to do this ourselves
• 6 March, 2.00pm to 3.30pm: Implementation – we will have set our GIS up and now learn how to add layers and what is possible
• 20 March, 2.00pm to 3.30pm: Interpretation – exploring the further potential of this, creating topography
