Hello! I’m a writer, photographer, filmmaker, and cultural curator.
A Stone Made of Circle—my island waybook—is out this autumn with Humans & Nature Press. I’m also making a documentary called Islandness. This year that work continues through an Islandness Gathering on the Isle of Ulva in spring, and a voyage co-steered aboard the Eda Frandsen in summer.
I convene courses for Advaya, including Wild Imagination: Exploring Creative Ecology, Contemporary Spirituality: Meaning and Mysticism in the Modern Age, and KINSHIP: Islands / Being Together. I’m part of the Dark Mountain Project team, and have worked with Perspectiva, the Climate Majority Project, and Life Itself as a researcher. I also set up the Experimental Thought Co, a community events hub, where I curated the Human//Nature series.
I grew up in the West Country and now live in the Hebrides with my dog Rune.
