The work varies from large scale projects such as Visual Direction for the Hinterland event that opened the Scottish Year of Architecture and Design, design for ‘Ghost Peloton’ for the Grand depart of the Tour de France, kit design for ‘Speed of Light’ part of the 2014 Cultural Olympiad, to small intimate projects such as design for the Composer Claudia Molitor’s piece ‘Singing Bridge’ at Somerset House in London. Our studio space includes a fully operational workshop for the realisation of models, prototypes and experimental pieces, and with fibre direct to the premises we connect with clients worldwide .
James studied at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, gaining a Masters in Industrial Design Engineering. Since then he has been lucky enough to work with some of the world’s most respected design offices in London, Paris and Japan, furniture designer Jasper Morrison, architect Norman Foster, architect, artist and engineer Santiago Calatrava. James also regularly tutors at the Royal College of Art and The Glasgow School of Art and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
