The Isle of Bute Artists' Collective (IBAC) is a diverse group of artists and makers on the island of Bute who contribute to the island through their art and craft. Working in glass, paint, clay, wood, ink, fabric, paper, precious metals and more, almost all of their work is created and produced on Bute. Every year we organise a Studio Trail over a two-day weekend that offers the opportunity to meet and chat with IBAC members and buy their work, much of it only available here. More than thirty IBAC members will be involved across the island. Many will show and demonstrate work in their workplace where you can better understand their processes of making, and some of our participants will also accept commissions. The Studio Trail also brings you the opportunity to see our Isle of Bute. Many venues are within walking distance from the ferry and you can hire bikes or take the round-island tour bus. Take the opportunity to visit the beaches, walk in some of our beautiful landscapes, and enjoy our cafés and bars to make the most of the Bute Studio Trail weekend.
