Nina Bacos is a Swedish artist and educator currently based in Glasgow. Since 2019, she works exclusively in collaboration with Anna Bokström, based in Malmö. Bacos holds a BFA and an MA from the Valand Academy (formerly HFF) and a PhD from the Glasgow School of Art. Bacos and Bokström's work focuses on using photography as a tool for engagement and understanding, exploring the complexities of human attempts to generate sustainable circular economies in the face of climate change. They are the founders of Sound of a Picture Art and Publishing, a platform that publishes and curates photography work. In addition to her art practice, Bacos has also worked as an educator, having taught in higher education and workshop settings.
