I am a professional artist and creative project facilitator living in Rhu, Helensburgh. My aim is to nuture creative confidence and inspire others in the wider cultural sector to do the same.
My award winning, inclusive community projects aim to empower people through creative endeavour, so they can grow as a person, feel energised by the arts and pass this knowledge on. I work with a wide range of people from elderly makers to school children and have seen the enormous wellbeing being benefits, both physical and mental, that meaningful facilitation has on individuals and by extension society as a whole.
I am committed to collaboration and sharing of best practice across sectors. I challenge ideas of what is possible with innovative, ambitious community based projects which push social stereotypes to be reconsidered. I want to establish further common ground between community and academic art practice for Scotland’s future cultural health.
