International Working | Funded International Micro Projects

CHARTS is delighted to announce the first cohort of members being supported to undertake new international work funded by Creative Scotland.

This is part of our Growing Global Networks programme designed to facilitate growth in international connectivity, including webinars, mentoring sessions and mapping sessions, to support members specifically from Argyll and Bute to undertake international working with a wide range of partners.

Growing Global Networks' recently selected award-holders are Bobbi Cameron, Eve Campbell, Rudy Kanhye, Adrien Howard, Naoko Mabon, Giles Perring, and Miek Zwamborn. Working with international collaborators, Growing Global projects link Argyll and Bute with Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, Mauritius, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, Uganda and the USA.  Themes for visits and exchange include colonial legacies, social justice and processes of making, including craft, sustainability and indigenous resources.

All the work undertaken within the Growing Global Networks programme will generate a new archive of case studies for members to explore new approaches to international cultural cooperation.

Growing Global Networks has grown from a previous CHARTS project, Placemakers: Microcluster Networks, developed in collaboration with Dr Michael Pierre Johnson, Creative Economy Innovation Leadership Fellow at the School of Innovation and Technology at the Glasgow School of Art.

Take a look at our GGN Webinar archive, which is online now.

Growing Global Network is funded by Creative Scotland, with support from The Scottish GovernmentArgyll and Bute Council, and Bòrd na Gàidhlig.
