Spring Fling 2021 - New Format, Reduced Fees & New ways to take part
Posted by CHARTS
This year's event will take part largely online but we are planning to present physical pop-up exhibitions and a series of workshops and talks. We have created two ways for artists and makers to take part - full participation (online & physical elements) and a brand new online only option.
As well as this, we have reduced all fees this year and have increased the number of spaces for artists and makers from out with the region - New Graduates, Neighbours and Springbacks. These open the event up beyond the core group of Dumfries & Galloway creatives.
New Graduates: Any artist or maker can apply to the event through this scheme as long as they have graduated in the last two years, live and work in Scotland, are embarking on a career in their chosen practice.
New Graduates are eligible for further reduced fees on the full participation however, this will be allocated depending on demand.
Neighbours: Artists and makers from the neighbouring regions for Northern Ireland, Cumbria, South Ayrshire, East Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders
Springbacks: Artists and makers with a strong connection to Dumfries & Galloway, Spring Fling or Upland
The deadline for applications is the 14th March 2021.
