Ràmh Beacons Tiree | Illuminate
Posted by CHARTS
To highlight the distinct nature of Argyll's islands and creative communities, we are pleased to announce Ràmh Beacons, a mini one-day festival of island events!
On January 18th, Tiree Makery will host a series of artist-led lantern-making workshops open to the entire community. Join us for the workshops at the Makery from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, and later, come together for the Lighting Event from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, to brighten the darkness of winter.
If weather permits, we'll illuminate the lanterns along the shoreline at dusk, keeping warm with hot chocolate. The lanterns will then be displayed as a temporary exhibition at Tiree Makery throughout January.
Made from recycled plastic bottles and decorated with vibrant tissue paper, these lanterns will bring light and colour to the dark winter afternoons, creating a beautiful, collective moment to brighten the coldest month and bring the community closer together.
No booking required.
Ràmh Beacons Tiree is supported by the Culture, Heritage & Arts Assembly, Argyll & Isles (CHARTS), made possible with support from Argyll and Bute Council, the Scottish Government and Bòrd na Gàidhlig.
