Campbeltown Museum
Welcome
Welcome to Campbeltown Museum. The Museum celebrates the social history of Campbeltown through a wide range of local fishing and boating items and tells the wider story of Kintyre through its collection of archaeology, art, and natural sciences. Highlights currently on display include a Bronze Age jet necklace, paintings by Samuel Peploe and William McTaggart, and a reflector from the Mull of Kintyre lighthouse. The museum display also contains generous loans and at every level, the museum is supported by the Friends of the Museum. Campbeltown Museum was supported for many years by the Kintyre Antiquarian Society and the members added significantly to the collections.
Over the coming months, CHARTS will be working in partnership with LiveArgyll and Argyll and Bute Council, to support Campbeltown Museum development initiatives.
